The antenna is supplied with powder coating to protect is further from severe environment conditions. The compact size (1 Meter shipping length) of omni-directional VHF/UHF aviation band antenna allows easy handling, shipping and highly suitable for ATC sites without having the requirement of multiple antennas. Antenna termination and feed cable lie enclosed inside the mounting pipe for complete weather protection.

Constructions: The VHF/UHF aviation band antenna is consisting of large diameter radiating elements, enclosed in ABS tube. The special “Choke and Spark Gap” technique is used for smooth VSWR and constant 2dBi. gain over the entire 118-400 MHz. frequency band. Large diameter vertical radiating element ensures the constant vertical beam-width of 76 degrees over the entire band. The ABS enclosure has excellent transparency for RF signals and enough strength to withstand specified wind loads. The stainless steel mounting brackets are supplied with the antenna.
