The CD-100-156 is a heavy-duty, wideband coaxial dipole antenna designed for consistent omnidirectional performance across the 100–156 MHz range. Enclosed in a high-impact ABS radome, it is engineered to serve as a high-reliability link for Air Traffic Control (ATC), naval communication, and mobile command centers, covering both standard aviation and emergency VHF frequencies.

Stable Omnidirectional Performance

The CD-100-156 maintains a constant 2 dBi gain across its entire 56 MHz bandwidth. Utilizing a specialized "Choke and Spark Gap" technique, the antenna ensures superior radiation efficiency and pattern stability. Its 78-degree vertical beam-width provides broad hemispherical coverage, which is essential for maintaining a strong, uninterrupted signal with aircraft at varying altitudes while simultaneously communicating with ground or sea-based assets.

Professional Mechanical Hardening

Constructed for longevity in high-corrosion environments, the internal radiating elements are fabricated from 6063T6 architectural-grade aluminum alloy. These elements are completely sealed within a UV-resistant ABS radome, which protects the antenna from ice formation, abrasive sand, and chemical degradation. The cylindrical design is optimized for low wind loading, allowing it to sustain operation in severe weather with wind speeds up to 200 Km/Hr.

Operational and Tactical Efficiency

This "plug-and-play" solution requires no field tuning or adjustments, making it ideal for rapid-deployment forces. Electrical efficiency is enhanced by high suppression of skin current, which provides a smooth VSWR and minimizes noise. For maximum longevity, the N-Female termination is housed at the base of the mounting pipe, shielding the RF connection from moisture and environmental stress. The antenna is supplied with Type 316 marine-grade stainless steel hardware for zero-maintenance performance in maritime theaters.

Design Features: CD-100-156 aviation dipole antenna is an omni-directional antenna for vertically polarized waves. CD-100-156 Omni-directional aviation dipole antenna is rugged all weather model, enclosed in a ABS radome, uses6063T6 ultra corrosion resistant aluminum alloy and does not require any field tuning or adjustments. The compact size of omni-directional aviation dipole antenna allows easy handling, shipping and highly suitable for ATC sites without having the requirement of multiple antennas. The aviation dipole antenna features high suppression of skin current which provides the smooth VSWR over the 100-156MHz frequency band. Cylindrical enclosure is used for low wind loading and for minimal effect of ice formation on the antenna operation as well as providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance. Due to sturdy design the aviation dipole antenna is highly suitable for fixed station application, shipboard mounting and mobile application.

Constructions: The aviation dipole antenna is consisting of round diameter radiating elements stacked vertically and enclosed in ABS radome. The special “Choke and Spark Gap” technique is used for constant superior performance over the entire 100-156 MHz. frequency band. The UV resistant ABS enclosure has excellent transparency for RF signals and enough strength to withstand specified wind loads. The N-Female termination of antenna is fixed at the bottom of the mounting pipe for complete weather protection. The marine grade type 316 stainless steel mounting brackets are supplied with the air band dipole antenna.
