The AH-1117-9 is a military-grade, wideband Circular Polarized Helical Antenna precision-engineered to cover the entire 1100–1700 MHz spectrum. Delivering a stable 9 dBic gain, this directional antenna is a specialized solution for global navigation satellite systems, covering GPS L1, L2, L5, and L6 bands, alongside GLONASS and Galileo frequencies. The AH-1117-9 is encased in a high-tech ruggedized radome made of high-strength ABS and fiberglass, shielding the precision copper radiating elements from physical impact and corrosive atmospheres. Featuring a 6061T6 aluminum alloy reflector and marine-grade stainless steel hardware, this antenna is fully compliant with MIL-STD-810G protocols. It is designed to survive the worst environmental conditions, maintaining structural integrity in winds up to 200 Km/Hr and extreme thermal cycles.

Efficiency is maximized by securing high-purity enameled copper winding directly to the radome wall, which prevents geometry shifts and eliminates internal RF inter-modulation. Design Features: The AH-1117-9 uses extended stubs to provide the greater gain while maintaining the wider beam-width. This low-profile antennas use Circular Polarization Antenna Technology - which delivers better penetration through obstruction and interference. This commercial grade antenna provides superior performance as compare to significantly larger and more expensive products. Our AH series helical antennas are smaller than conventional yagi antenna. The AH-1117-9 Helical Antenna is supplied with a specially designed mounting arrangement for steering the antenna over 360 Degrees in Azimuth direction and 90 degrees in elevation.

Constructions: The AH-1117-9, like all our AH series helical antennas, utilizes circular polarization to minimize the effects of multipath interference. Both Right Hand Circular Polarized (RHCP) and Left Hand Circular Polarized (LHCP) helical antenna models are available. The AH-1117-9 Helical Antenna is light weight, broadband and rugged helical antennas, supplied with fiberglass radome to protect the antenna from environment. Cylindrical enclosure is used for low wind loading and for minimal effect of ice formation on the helical antenna operation as well as providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance.

For higher gain requirement, the Helical antenna can be supplied in DUAL stacked or QUAD stacked arrays with suitable power splitter/combiner cable harness.
