Overview: AH-1726-13 Extended Range Helical Antenna
The AH-1726-13 is a professional-grade Extended Range Circular Polarized Helical Antenna designed for high-performance transmission and reception across the 1700–2600 MHz (1.7–2.6 GHz) spectrum. Delivering a stable 13 dBic gain, this directional aperture is engineered for long-range tactical data links, cellular band interception, and high-fidelity wireless bridges. By utilizing advanced helical winding and circular polarization (RHCP/LHCP), the AH-1726-13 provides superior signal "punch-through" and effectively eliminates multipath interference, outperforming traditional linear Yagi antennas in complex urban and subterranean environments.
Battlefield Durability: Built to survive the most punishing environmental extremes
The AH-1726-13 is encased in a high-strength, cylindrical ABS radome that shields the precision copper radiating elements from physical impact, ice loading, and corrosive atmospheres. Featuring marine-grade stainless steel hardware and a rugged aluminum reflector, the antenna is built to withstand winds up to 180 Km/Hr. Its resilient design ensures mission-readiness in temperatures ranging from -30°C to +70°C, finished in tactical olive green for low observability.
Operational Efficiency: Maximum power projection and signal integrity
Efficiency is maximized by using high-quality copper radiating elements secured within the radome to prevent geometry shifts and eliminate internal RF noise. Its optimized 40-degree beamwidth and stable 22 dB Front-to-Back ratio ensure that the 150W of RF power is concentrated toward the target—providing a generous acquisition window for mobile aerial assets while offering high isolation from rearward interference and background ground noise.
Detailed Technical Features
- Broadband L/S-Band Mastery: Seamlessly covers the entire 1700–2600 MHz window without field tuning.
- High-Gain Directional Output: Provides a consistent 13 dBic gain in a compact 450 mm profile.
- Circular Polarization (CP): Available in RHCP or LHCP to virtually eliminate Faraday rotation and mitigate signal fading.
- Precision Steering Suite: Supplied with a specialized mounting arrangement for 360° Azimuth and 90° Elevation tracking.
- High Front-to-Back Isolation: Offers a 22 dB ratio, ensuring signal purity and minimal rear-lobe emissions.
- Tactical SWaP Profile: Lightweight design at less than 1.5 Kgs, offering an elite gain-to-weight ratio for quick-deploy masts.
- Scalable Array Formation: Supports DUAL or QUAD stacked formations for ultra-high-gain requirements using custom phasing harnesses.
EW, SIGINT & Monitoring Compatibility
- Electronic Warfare (EW): Acts as a high-intensity directional jammer for 1.7–2.6 GHz data links. Its circular polarization ensures the jamming signal is not rejected by polarization-diversity filters.
- Signals Intelligence (SIGINT): The clean noise floor and directional gain allow operators to intercept weak, long-range telemetry and rogue tactical emitters with high fidelity.
- Persistent Monitoring: Serves as a high-fidelity electronic "tripwire" for situational awareness in high-reflection environments like urban canyons or maritime corridors.
Global & Environmental Compliances
- MIL-STD-810G Hardened: Designed to meet rigorous military protocols for Temperature, Humidity, Shock, and Vibration.
- RoHS & REACH: Constructed with lead-free, eco-friendly components compliant with EU chemical safety registrations.
- WEEE Directive: Supports sustainable lifecycle management with recyclable aluminum and copper components.
- CE Certified: Meets all European Union safety, health, and environmental protection requirements.
Key Advantages:
- Multipath Immunity: Inherently rejects reflected signals, providing a stable link in metallic or subterranean environments.
- Radome Feature Advantage: The high-strength ABS radome protects the copper radiator from sand abrasion and prevents ice accumulation from detuning the antenna.
- Acquisition Window: The 40-degree beamwidth provides a wider "sweet spot," making it ideal for tracking fast-moving UAVs or mobile assets.
Key Applications:
- Tactical Data Bridges: Establishing secure, high-capacity, long-range microwave links across hostile terrain.
- UAV Ground Control: High-reliability directional command and control for L/S-band tactical drones.
- Cellular Intercept: Specialized monitoring of wireless communications in the 1.7–2.6 GHz spectrum.
- Satellite Telemetry: High-gain Ground-to-Space links for L-band and S-band satellite constellations.
Design Features: The AH-1726-13 uses extended stubs to provide the greater gain while maintaining the wider beam-width and designed to provide wide-band directional transmission/reception of radio signals from 1700-2600 MHz band. This low-profile antennas use Circular Polarization Antenna Technology (LHCP or RHCP) - which delivers better penetration through obstruction and interference. Both Right Hand Circular Polarized (RHCP) and Left Hand Circular Polarized (LHCP) helical antenna models are available. This commercial grade antenna provides superior performance as compare to significantly larger and more expensive products. Our AH series helical antennas are smaller than conventional yagi antenna. The AH-1726-13 Helical Antenna is supplied with a specially designed mounting arrangement for steering the antenna over 360 Degrees in Azimuth direction and 90 degrees in elevation.
