The AH-6090 is a professional-grade High Gain Circular Polarized Helical Antenna engineered for the 6000–9000 MHz (6–9 GHz) C-band and X-band spectrum. Delivering a robust 10 dBic gain in an ultra-compact 140 mm form factor, this directional aperture is optimized for high-intensity microwave links, satellite telemetry, and persistent communications in high-interference environments. By utilizing advanced helical winding technology and circular polarization, the AH-6090 provides superior penetration and multipath rejection, outperforming traditional linear antennas in complex tactical theaters.

Durability: Built to survive the most punishing environmental extremes

The AH-6090 is encased in a high-strength fiberglass radome that protects the internal copper radiating elements from ice, dust, and corrosive gases. Utilizing 6061T6 aluminum alloy reflectors and marine-grade stainless steel mounting hardware, this antenna maintains structural integrity in winds up to 200 Km/Hr and temperatures ranging from -30°C to +70°C.

Operational Efficiency: Maximum power projection and signal integrity

With a high-purity enameled copper winding secured directly to the radome wall, the AH-6090 minimizes internal RF inter-modulation and heat dissipation. Its helical design projects 50 Watts of RF power with a stable 60-degree beamwidth, ensuring that every watt is effectively utilized to maintain dominant communication or jamming links across the 6–9 GHz window.

Technical Features

  • Wideband Performance: Covers the entire 6000–9000 MHz frequency range without field tuning.
  • Circular Polarization: Available in RHCP or LHCP to eliminate Faraday rotation and minimize multipath fading.
  • High Gain / Low Profile: Provides 10 dBic gain while remaining significantly smaller than conventional Yagi or parabolic arrays.
  • Advanced Steering: Includes a mounting arrangement for 360° Azimuth and 90° Elevation tracking.
  • Compact SWaP: Lightweight 500-gram design facilitates easy integration on mobile and airborne platforms.

Strategic EW, SIGINT & Monitoring Compatibility

  • Electronic Warfare (EW): Acts as a high-intensity polarization-matched jammer for C/X-band data links and radar triggers, preventing the 3 dB polarization loss common in linear systems.
  • Signals Intelligence (SIGINT): The clean noise floor and 10 dBic gain allow for the interception of long-range telemetry and weak tactical microwave signals.
  • Persistent Monitoring: The directional profile provides high angular resolution for precise emitter characterization and theater dominance.

Global & Environmental Compliances

  • MIL-STD Hardening: Designed to meet MIL-STD-810G standards for shock, vibration, humidity, and extreme thermal cycles.
  • RoHS Compliant: Strict adherence to the restriction of hazardous substances, ensuring lead-free and eco-friendly electronic components.
  • REACH & WEEE: Full compliance with EU chemical safety registrations and high-end lifecycle management directives for sustainable material disposal.
  • CE Mark: Certified to meet all European Union safety, health, and environmental protection requirements.

Key Advantages

  • Multipath Immunity: Inherently rejects reflected signals, making it ideal for uninterrupted communications in tunnels and urban canyons.
  • Superior Penetration: Circular polarization delivers better signal "punch-through" in heavy rain or dense foliage.
  • Ruggedized SWaP Profile: Elite performance-to-weight ratio for weight-sensitive tactical masts and UAV ground stations.
  • Directional Isolation: 18 dB Front-to-Back ratio ensures signal purity and protects friendly systems behind the aperture.

Key Applications

  • Tunnel & Mining Communications: Providing reliable wireless links in high-reflection subterranean military and industrial networks.
  • UAV Ground Stations: High-reliability directional command and control links for tactical drones.
  • Satellite Telemetry: High-gain Ground-to-Space links for X-band satellite constellations.
  • Microwave Jamming: Targeted Electronic Attack (EA) against high-frequency triggers and data backhauls.

Design Features: The AH-6090 uses extended stubs to provide the greater gain while maintaining the wider beam-width. This high-gain low-profile antennas use Circular Polarization Antenna Technology - which delivers better penetration through obstruction and interference. This commercial grade antenna provides superior performance as compare to significantly larger and more expensive products. Our AH series helical antennas are smaller than conventional yagi antenna. The AH-6090 Helical Antenna is supplied with a specially designed mounting arrangement for steering the antenna in both planes, over 360 Degrees in Azimuth and 90 Degrees in Elevation for terrestrial and satellite links.

Constructions: The AH-4959, like all our AH series helical antennas, utilizes circular polarization to minimize the effects of multipath interference. Both Right Hand Circular Polarized (RHCP) and Left Hand Circular Polarized (LHCP) helical antenna models are available. The AH-6090 Helical Antenna is light weight, broadband and rugged helical antennas, supplied with fiberglass radome to protect the antenna from environment. Cylindrical enclosure is used for low wind loading and for minimal effect of ice formation on the helical antenna operation as well as providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Array Formation: For higher gain requirement, the Helical antenna can be supplied in DUAL stacked or QUAD stacked arrays with suitable power splitter/combiner cable harness.
