The JCD-1216 is a high-performance, Broadband RCIED Jammer Antenna designed for mission-critical vehicular applications across the 1200–1600 MHz spectrum. Utilizing a rugged coaxial dipole architecture, this antenna provides a unified, "all-in-one" solution for the simultaneous denial of GPS L1 and GPS L2 bands, as well as adjacent L-band telemetry and data links. Its ultra-compact 200 mm profile and high-power handling capacity make it a primary asset for armored vehicles requiring a low-observable yet potent electronic shield.

Design: Ultra-Compact L-Band Dominance

The JCD-1216 is optimized for tactical environments where a low physical profile is required to prevent detection or damage without sacrificing RF performance.

  • Coaxial Dipole Architecture: Features large-diameter radiating elements stacked vertically. This configuration provides a very wide 78-degree vertical beamwidth, creating a hemispherical "denial bubble" that remains effective even when the vehicle is traversing steep or uneven terrain.
  • Specialized "Choke and Spark Gap": This internal technique ensures a smooth VSWR of better than 2:1 across the entire 400 MHz bandwidth, allowing for consistent power projection without the need for field tuning.
  • Persistent Power Handling: Despite its small size, the antenna is engineered to manage 250 Watts of continuous-duty RF power, enabling sustained electronic attack (EA) missions.

Construction: MIL-SPEC Environmental Resilience

Built for 24/7 survivability in the most punishing theaters, from high-salinity coastal zones to arid desert combat.

  • Ruggedized ABS Radome: The internal core is fully protected by a 45 mm diameter UV-resistant ABS radome. This material provides excellent RF transparency while maintaining the mechanical robustness to withstand physical impact and extreme wind loads (200 Km/Hr).
  • Weather-Shielded Integration: The antenna termination and feed cable are enclosed inside the mounting pipe, ensuring the critical RF link is 100% protected from rain, ice, and dust ingress.
  • Marine-Grade Hardware: All mounting components are crafted from 6063T6 aluminum alloy and Type 316 marine-grade stainless steel, preventing corrosion in salt-fog environments.

EW, SIGINT & Monitoring Compatibility

  • Electronic Warfare (EW): Primary tool for wide-area GNSS (GPS L1, GPS L2, GLONASS) denial and RCIED defeat. Its high power rating allows for aggressive signal saturation.
  • Signals Intelligence (SIGINT): The clean noise floor and stable 2 dBi gain allow for high-speed spectrum scanning, intercept, and monitoring of L-band satellite telemetry.
  • Surveillance & Monitoring: The 360-degree horizontal coverage acts as a persistent electronic "tripwire" for theater situational awareness.

Global Compliances & MIL-STD Hardening

The JCD-1216 is engineered to withstand the worst environmental conditions:

  • Thermal Range: Operational from -30°C to +70°C, covering all global theaters from arctic to desert.
  • Humidity Resilience: 0 to 95% RH rating for tropical and maritime deployments.
  • Mechanical Integrity: Rigid NATO 4-hole mounting pattern ensures the antenna remains secure during high-intensity off-road maneuvers and combat vibrations.

Key Advantages

  • Unified GPS L1/L2 Solution: Single-antenna footprint for comprehensive GNSS denial, reducing vehicle clutter and RF signature.
  • Extreme 250W Power Capacity: High-power throughput for persistent wide-area protection.
  • Ultra-Low Profile: Only 200 mm (7.8 inches) in length, making it difficult for adversaries to spot or target.
  • Zero Field Tuning: Factory-tuned architecture ensures immediate tactical deployment.
  • Rigid Tactical Mount: Standard NATO 4-hole pattern at the base for a secure, bolt-on interface with standard vehicle adaptor plates.

Key Applications

  • Vehicular RCIED Defeat: Mobile jamming to neutralize remote triggers in the 1.2–1.6 GHz band.
  • Counter-UAS (C-UAS): Disruption of drone command, control, and GNSS navigation systems.
  • Convoy Electronic Protection: High-power shielding for tactical units and VIP motorcades.
  • Spectrum Monitoring: Early warning signal discovery and intercept of L-band satellite data links.

Design Features : The JD-1216 Jammer Discone Antenna is rugged all weather model, enclosed in a ABS radome, uses all ultra corrosion resistant aluminum alloy and does not require any field tuning or adjustments. The compact size of omni-directional antenna allows easy handling, shipping and highly suitable for transmitting, receiving including GPS L1 band GPS L2 band without having the requirement of multiple antennas. Cylindrical enclosure is used for low wind loading and for minimal effect of ice formation on the antenna operation as well as providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Constructions : The jammer discone antenna is supplied complete in assembled condition. This discone antenna has smooth VSWR and constant Gain over the 1200-1600 MHz frequency band including GPS L1 and GPS L2 bands. The JD-1216 jammer discone antenna consists of ultra corrosion resistant radiating elements and enclosed in ABS housing. The ABS has excellent transparency for Radio Signal and mechanically Robust to support extra mechanical strength to the discone antenna.

Mounting : Following four options are available to choose from:
(1) Standard NATO 4 holes pattern for military vehicle. (2) Roof-top hole mounting on the vehicle which requires a 16mm hole through roof of the vehicle with N-Female termination. (3) Man-pack mounting; in this you can mount the antenna directly on the equipment with M-male termination. (4) Antenna can be supplied with pole mounting hardware; in this the mounting hardware is suitable for mounting on any outer diameter pipe between 32-51mm.
