The ADY-156-162 is a professional-grade directional antenna system engineered for long-range communication within the 156–162 MHz Marine Band. Design and Configuration

The ADY-156-162 features an innovative dual-stacked Yagi design that incorporates two high-gain Yagi antennas synchronized through a precision power divider and phasing harness. This stacking technique adds an additional 3 dB of gain over a single Yagi, focusing the energy into a tighter beam-width (25° Horizontal / 40° Vertical when stacked horizontally). The unique feed system eliminates the need for a traditional folded dipole, reducing complexity while maintaining a low VSWR. The system is fully adjustable, allowing for either Horizontal or Vertical polarization depending on the specific network requirements.

Fabrication and Marine-Grade Construction

Built to survive the relentless corrosive forces of saltwater environments, the ADY-156-162 is fabricated from 6063T6 ultra-corrosion-resistant architectural aluminum alloy. The square-tube supporting booms and round-tube radiating elements provide exceptional structural rigidity. All mounting hardware, including the cross-over brackets for the central stacking pipe, is made from Type 316 marine-grade stainless steel. To further ensure longevity, the entire assembly is finished with a protective powder coating that shields the aluminum from UV radiation and acidic salt spray.
