The AG3-450 is a professional-grade, high-gain Omni-Directional Ground Plane Antenna precision-engineered for the 406–512 MHz UHF spectrum. Constructed from high-class brass alloy, this rugged all-weather model is designed for elite base station performance in military, public safety, and industrial trunking networks. With a stable 3 dBi gain and a high 500-Watt power handling capacity, the AG3-450 provides reliable 360-degree signal saturation across a 20 MHz bandwidth without the need for field tuning.

Hardened Construction & Design

Strategic materials for persistent performance in extreme environments. The AG3-450 utilizes an all-brass radiating architecture, which is critical for preventing the formation of "Signal Cells." This design eliminates internal inter-modulation (IM) and ensures absolute signal purity even during high-power transmissions. For maximum durability, all mounting hardware and fasteners are made of stainless steel, and the support pipe features a rugged powder-coated finish to resist corrosion.

Operational Efficiency

True omni-directional dominance with superior null fill. The antenna delivers a stable vertical radiation pattern with a 72-degree vertical beamwidth. This wide elevation aperture provides excellent "null fill," ensuring consistent signal coverage for ground units and assets at varying elevations—effectively eliminating the communication dead zones common with higher-gain, narrower-beam antennas. For maximum field survivability, the N-Female termination and feed cable are fully enclosed within the mounting pipe, shielding critical RF connections from moisture and ice.

Detailed Technical Features

  • UHF Band Optimization: Targeted performance for the 406–512 MHz range, ideal for TETRA, UHF trunking, and tactical military comms.
  • High-Efficiency Brass Radiator: All-brass elements provide superior electrical conductivity and thermal stability for high-power operation.
  • Massive Power Handling: Facilitates up to 500 Watts of continuous RF power, supporting high-intensity broadcasting and electronic attack.
  • Inter-Modulation Suppression: Advanced design prevents "Signal Cells," ensuring a clean RF environment for co-located sensitive receivers.
  • Vertical Pattern Precision: A 72° vertical beamwidth maintains signal link integrity for mobile units in rugged or urban terrain.
  • Weather-Shielded Feed: Internalized cable routing through the support pipe provides 100% protection for the N-Female connector.
  • Tactical Logistics: Ground radials are removable, reducing the shipping length to only 0.55 meters for ease of transport.
  • Rapid Installation: Suitable for mounting on 32–51 mm (1.25–2 inch) OD round pipes with simple hand tools.

Environmental Specifications

The AG3-450 is built to survive the most demanding mission parameters:

  • Operating Temperature: Certified for mission-critical use from -30°C to +70°C.
  • Storage Resilience: Can be safely stored in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +80°C.
  • Humidity Defense: Fully functional in 0 to 95% Relative Humidity, designed for tropical and coastal theaters.
  • High Wind Stability: Aerodynamically optimized to survive constant winds up to 200 Km/Hr.

Key Advantages, Benefits & Applications

Key Advantages:

  • Signal Purity: Brass-to-brass junctions prevent the non-linear "diode effect" that causes spectral regrowth and interference.
  • Maintenance-Free: Rugged, fully welded-equivalent construction eliminates the need for periodic cleaning or field tuning.
  • Compact Footprint: Offers a high gain-to-size ratio with an overall length of only 0.9 meters.

Key Applications:

  • UHF Base Stations: Primary communication link for emergency services, security forces, and military headquarters.
  • TETRA & Digital Trunking: Providing reliable wide-area coverage for municipal and industrial digital radio systems.
  • Critical Infrastructure: Wireless links for refineries, transport hubs, and high-security government installations.
  • Localized Area Coverage: Ideal for high-reliability communications where consistent signal saturation is required in a 360-degree radius.

Design Features: AG3-450 Ground Plane Antenna is rugged all weather model, uses high class chrome plated Brass and does not require any field tuning. The ground plane antenna when packed comes with ground radials removed from the antenna body for ease of packing and transportation.

Constructions: The all Brass ground plane antenna prevents formation of “Signal Cells”, thereby eliminating intermodulation with in the antenna. AG3-450 ground plane antenna is specially designed for Omni directional requirements, broadband for base station. Antenna termination and feed cable lie enclosed inside the mounting pipe for complete weather protection.
