| JCM-20-100 | VHF Manpack Jammer Antenna | 20-100MHz | -15 dBi |
The JCM-20-100 is a ruggedized, wideband Omni-Directional Jammer Collinear Antenna specifically designed for manpack applications covering the critical 20–100 MHz VHF spectrum. This frequency range is essential for neutralizing low-band tactical radios and legacy RCIED triggers. Despite its significant 2000 mm (2 meters) length, it is engineered for the dismounted operator, providing a stable vertical radiation pattern and a broad 78-degree vertical beamwidth to ensure consistent signal saturation across uneven terrain.
Design: Wideband Low-Frequency Denial
The JCM-20-100 is engineered for operators who require comprehensive coverage of the low VHF band without the logistical burden of swapping multiple antennas.
- Broad 20–100 MHz Coverage: This antenna covers the entire low VHF spectrum, making it highly effective against a wide array of legacy tactical communication systems and long-wavelength triggers.
- Forgiving 78° Vertical Beamwidth: Low-frequency jamming often occurs in varied topography. The broad 78-degree beam ensures that the signal remains effective even when the operator is ascending or descending hills, as the "denial bubble" extends far above and below the horizontal plane.
- Direct Transmitter Mounting: Designed for a direct N-Male connection to the equipment. Given its 2-meter length, the JCM-20-100-S version (with spring base) is highly recommended to protect the transmitter's RF port from the mechanical leverage created during movement.
Construction: Ruggedized for the Field
Built to maintain electrical performance while subjected to the high-torque stresses associated with a 2000 mm manpack antenna.
- Advanced ABS Radome: The radiating elements are protected by a tapered radome (45 mm at base to 22 mm at tip) made of high-strength ABS. This provides the necessary mechanical rigidity to prevent excessive "whip" while remaining 100% RF-transparent.
- Ultra-Corrosion Resistance: Utilizing 6063T6 aluminum alloy and high-quality brass radiators, the antenna is built to withstand salt spray, high humidity, and extreme environmental exposure.
- Optimized for Portability: Weighing 1500 grams (1.5 kg), it balances the necessary physical size required for VHF wavelengths with the weight constraints of a dismounted patrol.
Technical Features
- Comprehensive VHF Range: Seamless coverage from 20 to 100 MHz.
- Stable VSWR (2:1): Ensures efficient power transfer across a massive bandwidth without field tuning.
- 50W RF Power Handling: Suitable for continuous-duty portable electronic attack.
- Vertical Polarization: Matches the standard polarization of tactical handheld and manpack radios.
- Tactical Finish: Available in Olive Green or customized colors for low visual detection.
Design Features: The JCM-20-100 Jammer manpack collinear antenna is rugged all weather model, enclosed in a ABS radome, uses high quality brass radiating elements and does not require any field tuning or adjustments. The compact size of omni-directional antenna allows easy handling, shipping and highly suitable for transmitting, receiving without having the requirement of multiple antennas. Cylindrical enclosure is used for low wind loading and for minimal effect of ice formation on the antenna operation as well as providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
