Pneumatic Telescopic Masts
Rapid Deployment Masts for Mission-Critical Operations
Antenna Experts manufactures the highly versatile PTM series pneumatic telescopic masts, an essential elevation solution for demanding environments. Engineered for military, police, and fire department operations, as well as civilian applications in sports analysis, professional lighting, photography, and advanced communications, these masts deliver uncompromising reliability. Our pneumatic telescopic masts are designed for swift, two-person deployment. Using the included foot pump, a separate stand pump, or a 12-volt compressor, a single operator can achieve full mast extension in under ten minutes.
Each section moves smoothly on Teflon bearings and high-quality, high-strength rubber seals. The masts are equipped with a lock against rotation, and the top section terminates with a large flange to accommodate the installation of various payloads.

Robust Anodized Aluminum Construction
Built to withstand severe environmental conditions, every Antenna Experts PTM series pneumatic telescopic mast is constructed from 3mm, 6063-T6 ultra-corrosion-resistant, heat-treated architectural aluminum alloy. This premium anodized aluminum finish ensures the mast remains exceptionally robust while being significantly more lightweight than traditional steel alternatives. Available in base tube diameters of Ø101mm, Ø115mm, and Ø135mm, our masts provide stable elevation ranging from 11 meters (36 feet) up to 21 meters (70 feet). Each concentric section features a secure anti-rotation lock and glides smoothly on Teflon bearings and high-strength rubber seals.
Secure Mechanical Locking and Easy Operation
Operating our pneumatic mast is simple and highly efficient, utilizing internal air pressure to extend the mast sections—similar to the reverse action of a bicycle pump. Once a section reaches its full extension, it automatically engages a mechanical lock into the next section. This crucial feature ensures the mast stays firmly erected without requiring continuous air pressure. Operators can also lock the mast at various intermediate heights. Retracting the system is highly controlled; simply pulling the release handle on the lowest extended section allows the upper sections to lower themselves gently. A large top flange accommodates the easy installation of diverse payloads, including heavy-duty communication and EW antennas.
