The LP-1000-3000 is a high-performance, radome-protected Tactical Log Periodic Dipole Antenna (LPDA) engineered for relentless directional performance across the 1000–3000 MHz (1–3 GHz) spectrum. Delivering a surgical 9 dBi gain in a compact 450mm frame, this antenna is optimized for GPS L1/L2, GSM, 3G, 4G LTE, and S-Band telemetry. Encased in a heavy-duty fiberglass radome with fully welded 6063T6 aluminum elements, it is built to provide continuous, high-fidelity communication, SIGINT, and jamming in the most severe environmental conditions.

Design: S-Band Precision & Mechanical Integrity

The LP-1000-3000 is designed for operators who require a "locked-in" radiation pattern and long-term electrical stability across the microwave bands.

  • Welded Element Architecture: Unlike standard antennas, all radiating elements are fully welded to the support boom. This eliminates RF inter-modulation (PIM) and ensures the antenna maintains its electrical fingerprint even under high-power transmission or extreme vibration.
  • Elite 9 dBi Gain: The non-loaded aluminum array delivers a focused 60-degree horizontal beamwidth. This high-gain focus exponentially increases reception range and allows for surgical signal isolation in "congested" RF environments.
  • Zero-Loss Bandwidth: By avoiding loading techniques, the antenna maintains maximum radiation efficiency across the entire 1000-3000 MHz range, ensuring consistent performance for aeronautical and cellular intercepts.

Construction: The Fiberglass Radome Advantage

Housed in a heavy-duty fiberglass radome, the LP-1000-3000 is engineered for absolute survivability.

  • Strategic Radome Protection: The ruggedized fiberglass enclosure provides 100% RF transparency while physically shielding the elements from ice formation, sand abrasion, and salt fog. The tapered design ensures a low wind profile (200 Km/Hr rating) and an aesthetically pleasing, low-visibility signature.
  • MIL-STD-810G Certified: Rigorously tested for shock, vibration, humidity, and fungus resistance. It is the definitive choice for permanent naval installations, coastal monitoring, or mobile vehicle-mounted tactical units.
  • Integrated Safety: Operates at D.C. ground, providing a direct discharge path for lightning and suppressing atmospheric static for an ultra-quiet noise floor.

Technical Features

  • Comprehensive 1–3 GHz Coverage: Unified solution for L-Band and S-Band applications.
  • Fully Welded 6063T6 Elements: Maximum durability and PIM suppression.
  • High-Efficiency 9 dBi Gain: Focused directional precision for long-range intercepts.
  • 150W RF Power Handling: Robust enough for continuous-duty tactical data links.
  • Compact & Rugged: Only 450mm long and weighing 3 Kgs, ideal for high-vibration mobile platforms.
  • Rear-Mount Master Stability: Mounting at the back end ensures the support mast remains outside the radiation pattern to prevent beam distortion.
  • Final Finish: Epoxy powder coating in Olive Green for tactical low visibility.

Integration Guide: Dominating the 1–3 GHz Spectrum

1. L-Band & S-Band Intercepts

In the signal-dense 1000-3000 MHz band, isolating specific tactical data links or GPS signals requires surgical directional focus.

  • The Precision Advantage: The focused 60-degree beamwidth acts as a directional "spotlight," allowing an operator to isolate a specific target while physically "nulling out" interference from the sides and rear.

2. Tactical Jamming & J/S Ratio

When projecting high power, the 9 dBi gain acts as an RF magnifying glass. This concentration exponentially increases your Effective Radiated Power (ERP), allowing you to successfully deny L-Band communications or SATNAV signals in a targeted tactical sector.

3. All-Weather Monitoring Reliability

In coastal or arctic regions, salt spray and ice act as conductors that detune open-air antennas. The Fiberglass Radome ensures the LP-1000-3000 maintains a consistent 2.5:1 VSWR and 9 dBi gain, protecting the high-fidelity elements from physical and electrical degradation.

Strategic EW & SIGINT Guide: LP-1000-3000 Tactical L/S-Band Mastery

The LP-1000-3000 is a surgical "all-weather" tool for the 1.0 to 3.0 GHz spectrum. This range is the operational core of modern digital civilization, hosting GPS L1/L2, 4G LTE, S-Band Tactical Data Links, and Aeronautical Telemetry. In a battlespace defined by low-power microwave bursts and high-speed data hopping, the LP-1000-3000’s 9 dBi gain and Fiberglass Radome protection provide the fidelity required for mission success in extreme environments.

1. Mastering the L-Band & S-Band Landscape

Across the 1–3 GHz range, radio waves behave with "optical" precision. They do not bend over hills; they travel in strict line-of-sight and reflect sharply off almost any solid surface.

  • The Precision Advantage: The focused 60-degree horizontal beamwidth of the LP-1000-3000 acts as an RF "spotlight." This allows an operator to isolate a specific GPS sector or a 2.4 GHz data link while physically "nulling out" interference from neighboring urban noise.
  • Range Extension: At microwave frequencies, path loss is severe. Every 6 dB of gain effectively doubles your reception range. The 9 dBi gain allows you to pull in weak data bursts from distances where standard omnidirectional antennas would see nothing but background static.

2. Defeating Multipath & Polarization Rotation

Microwave signals (above 1 GHz) reflect sharply off glass, metal, and concrete. Each reflection can cause the signal's polarization to shift—a phenomenon known as Polarization Rotation.

  • The "Null" Problem: Most mobile devices and tactical data links are vertically polarized. If a signal reflects off a slanted roof or metal structure, it may arrive at your site with a significant horizontal shift. A standard vertical antenna would experience a signal dropout of up to 20 dB.
  • The Tactical Solution: The LP-1000-3000 features a mounting arrangement that allows operators to switch between Horizontal and Vertical polarization in seconds. This ensures you can match the orientation of the incoming reflected wave to maintain a high-speed data intercept or clear monitoring.

3. High-Power Jamming & J/S Ratio Optimization

To successfully disrupt a target link (e.g., a 1.5 GHz GPS receiver or a 2.1 GHz LTE uplink), you must achieve a superior Jamming-to-Signal (J/S) ratio at the victim’s receiver.

  • Strategic Power Concentration: At S-Band frequencies, path loss is high, meaning your jammer must be efficient. The LP-1000-3000 focuses 150 Watts of energy into a tight 60-degree cone.
  • ERP Advantage: This concentration exponentially increases your Effective Radiated Power (ERP). This allows an operator to successfully "drown out" a legitimate signal from several kilometers away, even when the adversary is using sophisticated frequency-hopping hardware.

4. All-Weather Reliability: The Fiberglass Radome Factor

In L/S-Band operations, even a thin layer of ice or a coating of salt spray on antenna elements can cause a massive VSWR spike, detuning the antenna and destroying its gain.

  • Radome Protection: The Heavy-Duty Fiberglass Radome ensures 100% RF transparency while physically shielding the welded 6063T6 aluminum elements. This prevents "Precipitation Static" (P-Static) and ensures the antenna maintains its 9 dBi precision in arctic, coastal, or tropical monsoon environments.
  • Low Wind Profile: The tapered, aerodynamic design reduces wind loading on high-altitude towers or moving vehicles, ensuring the 60-degree beam remains steady on the target.

Tactical Deployment Checklist

  • Cable Integrity at 3 GHz: At 3000 MHz (3 GHz), cable loss is extreme. Do not use standard RG-58. Use high-grade LMR-400 or LMR-600. Every 3 dB of cable loss effectively cuts your jamming power or reception sensitivity in half.
  • Fiberglass Radome Maintenance: While the radome is rugged, ensure the surface is kept clean of heavy mud, ice, or metallic debris. At microwave frequencies, surface contaminants can refract the signal and distort the 60-degree beam.
  • Rear-Mount Advantage: Since the mount is at the rear of the 450mm boom, the 2-inch metal mast remains completely behind the antenna. This prevents "Mast Shadowing," which would otherwise cause dangerous reflections and distort the high-frequency beam.
  • Boresight Alignment: Because the beamwidth is only 60 degrees, a 30-degree error in alignment will drop your gain significantly. At 3 GHz, precision is everything. Use a high-quality compass or GPS-aligned mount to ensure the antenna is pointed exactly at the target sector.

Design Features: The LP-1000-3000 log periodic dipole antenna is designed to provide wideband directional transmission/reception of radio signals from 1000 to 3000MHz bands. The compact size of the log periodic antenna allows easy handling and specially designed mounting arrangement results in fast installation. The extra spacers are used between the support booms to improve mechanical durability of antenna. The log periodic dipole antenna is supplied complete in assembled condition. This high gain LPA provides strong performance over the entire frequency of 1000-3000MHz as the LPDA does not use loading technique to reduce the overall size of array.
