| LP-500-2000 | UHF Log Periodic Antenna | 500-2000 MHz | 9 dBi |
The LP-500-2000 is a compact, high-performance Log Periodic Dipole Antenna (LPDA) engineered for wideband directional applications across the 500–2000 MHz spectrum. Delivering a consistent 9 dBi gain, this antenna is an ideal solution for medium-power jamming, spectrum monitoring, and tactical communications. Its small physical footprint—just 0.65 meters in length—makes it exceptionally agile for rapid deployment on mobile platforms or fixed masts, while its "pure" LPDA architecture ensures linear performance without the efficiency losses common in smaller, loaded arrays.
Design: Compact Efficiency & Wideband Precision
The LP-500-2000 is optimized for operators who require high directional gain within a manageable, low-drag form factor.
- Unified 500–2000 MHz Coverage: This single aperture covers the most critical UHF and lower microwave bands, including high-band LMR, GSM, CDMA, UMTS, and GPS/GNSS frequencies. It is perfectly suited for multi-mission roles where space is at a premium.
- Robust 250W Power Handling: Built for continuous-duty operations, the array manages up to 250 Watts of RF power. This allows for effective signal denial and electronic attack across its entire bandwidth.
- Surgical Directional Gain: With a 9 dBi gain and a 65-degree horizontal beamwidth, the antenna focuses energy precisely toward the target. The 18 dB Front-to-Back ratio ensures excellent rear-lobe suppression, protecting friendly systems and reducing interference.
- Advanced Material Integration: The use of Nylon and Teflon insulators allows the antenna to maintain electrical stability even under high RF thermal loads, preventing impedance shifts during prolonged transmissions.
Construction: Ruggedized & Agile
Despite its technical complexity, the LP-500-2000 is built for "plug-and-play" tactical utility.
- Compact Tactical Profile: At only 650 mm (2.1 feet) long and weighing 3.5 Kgs, it is easily handled by a single operator. Its small size significantly reduces wind loading, allowing for a high 200 Km/Hr wind rating.
- Aerospace-Grade Materials: Constructed from 6063T6 aluminum square tubes (booms) and round rods (elements). All assembly hardware—including screws, nuts, and bolts—is made of marine-grade stainless steel to prevent corrosion in high-humidity or coastal environments.
- D.C. Grounded Safety: The antenna is designed with a direct D.C. ground path. This provides a low-resistance discharge for lightning protection and bleeds off static electricity to ensure a quiet noise floor for sensitive monitoring and scanning.
- Rear-End Mounting: The mounting clamps are positioned at the back end of the antenna, allowing for "bore-sight" aiming without the mounting pole interfering with the antenna's radiation pattern.
Technical Features
- Consistent 9 dBi Gain: Linear performance across the entire 1.5 GHz bandwidth.
- Polarization Agility: Can be mounted for either Vertical or Horizontal polarization to match mission requirements.
- N-Female Termination: Low-loss coaxial output fixed at the back end of the boom for secure integration.
- High Durability: Extra spacers between support booms increase mechanical rigidity against vibration and shock.
- Broad Operating Range: Fully operational in extreme temperatures from -30°C to +70°C.
Design Features:The LP-500-2000 log periodic dipole antenna is designed to provide wideband directional transmission/reception of radio signals from 500 to 2000 MHz bands. The compact size of the log periodic antenna allows easy handling and specially designed mounting arrangement results in fast installation. The extra spacers are used between the support booms to improve mechanical durability of antenna. This high gain LPA provides strong performance over the entire frequency of 500-2500 MHz as the LPDA does not use loading technique to reduce the overall size of array.
