The CD-470-860 is a ruggedized, multi-band omni-directional antenna designed for high-performance transmitting and receiving within the 470–860 MHz UHF spectrum. This coaxial dipole antenna serves as a versatile, single-unit solution for fixed base stations, shipboard installations, and mobile tactical platforms. Its wide bandwidth and sturdy construction eliminate the logistical need for maintaining multiple narrowband antennas.

Design and Versatility

The CD-470-860 is engineered for extreme weather survivability, featuring a UV-resistant ABS radome that protects the internal radiating elements. Its cylindrical enclosure is specifically designed to minimize wind loading and ice accumulation, ensuring stable operation in high-wind environments. The compact 0.40-meter profile makes it an ideal choice for space-constrained applications, such as vehicle mounting or dense shipboard masts, while maintaining an aesthetically pleasing and low-profile appearance.

Precision Fabrication

Fabricated using 6063T6 ultra-corrosion-resistant architectural aluminum alloy, the antenna features vertically stacked radiating elements for consistent performance. A specialized "Choke and Spark Gap" technique is integrated into the construction to ensure a smooth VSWR and constant gain across the entire frequency range. To prevent environmental degradation, the antenna is supplied with marine-grade stainless steel mounting hardware and finished in olive green. The N-Female termination is located at the bottom of the mounting pipe for ultimate weather shielding.

Design Features: CD-470-860 Omni-directional coaxial dipole antenna is rugged all weather model, enclosed in a ABS radome, uses high class brass and aluminum alloy and does not require any field tuning or adjustments. The compact size of omni-directional coaxial dipole antenna allows easy handling, shipping and highly suitable for transmitting, receiving without having the requirement of multiple antennas. The N-Female termination of coaxial dipole antenna is fixed at the bottom of the mounting pipe for complete weather protection. Cylindrical enclosure is used for low wind loading and for minimal effect of ice formation on the antenna operation as well as providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Constructions: The coaxial dipole antenna is consisting of round diameter radiating elements stacked vertically and enclosed in ABS radome. The special “Choke and Spark Gap” technique is used for smooth VSWR and constant 3dBi. gain over the entire 470-860 MHz. frequency band. The UV resistant ABS enclosure has excellent transparency for RF signals and enough strength to withstand specified wind loads. The stainless steel mounting brackets are supplied with the coaxial dipole antenna.
