The WD-500-3000 is a professional-grade, Wide Band Omni-directional Heavy Duty Discone Antenna engineered for the 500–3000 MHz frequency range. This specialized aperture is designed to replace multiple antennas by providing a unified, high-efficiency solution for UHF, L-Band, and S-Band applications. With a fully welded architecture and a ruggedized build, the WD-500-3000 is specifically tailored for the most extreme environments—from high-salinity oceanic theaters to arctic regions where vibration and ice loading are critical concerns.
Design: Monolithic Strength & Arctic Resilience
The WD-500-3000 is optimized for mission-critical hubs that require absolute mechanical reliability. Unlike conventional discones that use threaded elements, this model features fully welded junctions at all transition points. This monolithic construction ensures permanent electrical continuity and structural integrity, even when subjected to intense shipboard vibrations or heavy ice accumulation in arctic theaters. Its 70-degree vertical beamwidth provides hemispherical awareness, making it highly effective for simultaneous ground-to-ground, naval, and ground-to-air communications.
Construction: MIL-SPEC Hardening & Protected Feed
Built for 24/7 survivability, the antenna utilizes 6063T6 military-grade architectural anodized aluminum alloy. To protect the internal signal path, all primary junctions are enclosed within a ruggedized radome, and the N-Female termination is housed inside the mounting pipe for 360-degree weatherproofing. All fasteners, including screws, nuts, and bolts, are made of high-grade marine stainless steel. The entire assembly is finished with a durable powder coating, providing total immunity to salt fog, acid rain, ultraviolet radiation, and abrasive desert sandstorms.
Performance: Unified Spectrum Control
By covering the massive 500 MHz to 3 GHz spectrum, the WD-500-3000 serves as an "all-in-one" solution for modern tactical hubs. It maintains a stable VSWR of better than 2.5:1 across the entire bandwidth, enabling high-efficiency transmission and reception for spectrum monitoring or high-power jamming. With a 250W power handling capacity, this antenna provides the necessary throughput for secure data links and electronic protection (EP) in congested electromagnetic environments.
Technical Features

- MIL-STD-810G Certified: Rigorously tested for shock, vibration, salt fog, and extreme temperatures.
- Rapid Tactical Integration: Compact 550 mm length and 3.5 Kg weight allow for easy handling and installation on standard masts up to 52 mm.
- High Wind Stability: Aerodynamic design ensures structural integrity in wind speeds up to 200 Km/Hr.
Design Features: WD-500-3000 wide band heavy duty fully welded discone antenna is specially designed to survive the most extreme conditions, where conventional antennas often fail. Due to its low VSWR through entire band from 500-3000 MHz., this discone antenna can be used as a transmitting and receiving antenna with high efficiency, to meet the broadband requirement of a base station antenna such as spectrum monitoring or jamming application without need of multiple antennas. WD-500-3000 wideband discone antenna is extremely rugged, fully welded at all junctions, all weather model, does not require any field tuning or adjustments. The wide vertical beam-width of discone antennas allows clear communication for ground, sea, and ground-to-air applications. The fully welded wide band discone antenna is highly suitable for Oceanic application especially in arctic region where vibration and ice loading are main concern.
