The WD-75-3000 is a professional-grade, Wide Band Omni-directional Heavy Duty Shipboard Discone Antenna specifically engineered for the 75–3000 MHz frequency range. This specialized aperture is designed to survive the most extreme maritime and arctic theaters where conventional antennas typically fail due to mechanical fatigue or ice accumulation. With a robust 500W power handling capacity (expandable to 1.5KW) and a fully welded architecture, the WD-75-3000 provides a unified, high-efficiency solution for naval base stations, spectrum monitoring, and high-power jamming missions.

Design: Extreme Survivability & Arctic Resilience

The WD-75-3000 is optimized for oceanic applications where vibration, salt-air corrosion, and heavy ice loading are constant threats. Unlike standard discones with threaded elements, this model features fully welded junctions at all critical points. This monolithic construction ensures absolute electrical continuity and mechanical integrity under the intense structural stress of shipboard motion. The antenna’s wide vertical beamwidth of 78 degrees is specifically tailored for clear communication across sea, ground, and air domains, providing hemispherical awareness for naval task forces.

Construction: Marine-Grade Engineering & Radome Protection

Built to withstand the world’s most punishing environmental theaters, the WD-75-3000 utilizes 6063T6 military-grade architectural anodized aluminum alloy. To prevent internal condensation and hardware failure, all critical internal junctions are enclosed within a ruggedized radome, ensuring survivability in the worst arctic or tropical conditions. All fasteners, including screws, nuts, and bolts, are crafted from Type 316 marine-grade stainless steel. The antenna is finished with an epoxy-based Military Olive Green powder coating, providing immunity to ultraviolet radiation, salt fog, and acidic rain.

Versatility: Unified Spectrum Command & Control

By covering the massive spectrum from 75 MHz to 3 GHz, the WD-75-3000 eliminates the need for multiple antenna arrays on cramped shipboard superstructures. It maintains a stable VSWR of better than 2.5:1 across the entire bandwidth, making it a high-efficiency tool for both high-speed spectrum scanning and continuous-duty transmission. For strategic Electronic Warfare (EW) missions, the antenna offers an optional 1.5KW power upgrade, allowing it to serve as a dominant hub for wide-area signal denial and electronic protection.

Technical Features

  • Unified 75–3000 MHz Coverage: Replaces multiple VHF, UHF, and L/S-Band antennas with a single feed point.
  • Fully Welded Architecture: Maximizes structural durability and minimizes Passive Inter-Modulation (PIM) for quiet SIGINT.
  • High Power Capacity: 500W standard handling with an optional 1.5KW upgrade for high-intensity jamming.
  • Hemispherical Awareness: 78-degree vertical beamwidth for reliable ground-to-air and naval links.
  • MIL-STD-810G Certified: Rigorously tested for shock, vibration, salt fog, and extreme arctic temperatures.
  • Protected Termination: N-Female connector is enclosed within the mounting pipe for 360-degree weather protection.
  • Dual Mounting Options: Compatible with standard mast pipes (32-52mm) or a NATO 4-hole flange for vehicle and shipboard integration.

High-Efficiency Wideband RF Performance & Spectrum Versatility: The WD-75-3000 is an ultra-wideband, heavy-duty fully-welded shipboard discone antenna engineered for high-efficiency omni-directional RF communication, spectrum monitoring, and electronic warfare (jamming) applications. Operating seamlessly across a broad 75–3000 MHz frequency range with a 2.15 dBi gain, this passive discone antenna maintains an exceptionally low VSWR across the entire operational spectrum, completely eliminating the need for multiple antenna arrays. Its wide vertical beamwidth ensures robust, uninterrupted signal propagation for critical ground-to-ground, maritime, and ground-to-air (aerospace) communication links. By providing uniform multi-band coverage in a single consolidated footprint, it serves as an ideal high-power broadband base station antenna for high-density naval and tactical communication networks.

Ruggedized Marine-Grade Engineering & Environmental Survivability: Built to withstand the most punishing deployment environments, the WD-75-3000 features a fully welded discone structure fabricated from Mil-grade 6063-T6 architectural anodized aluminum alloy. Specifically optimized for oceanic and arctic applications, its ultra-rugged design delivers extreme resilience against severe vibration and ice loading. All internal electrical junctions are sealed within a ruggedized protective radome, while the external metal surfaces feature an advanced corrosion-resistant powder coating that shields the system from UV radiation, salt spray, acid rain, and desert sandstorms. For maximum weatherproofing, the RF termination is entirely enclosed within the heavy-duty mounting pipe, and all structural hardware is constructed from 316 marine-grade stainless steel, delivering a completely maintenance-free, zero field-tuning antenna solution.
